How SpamDrain works

Thanks to SpamDrain's DrainNow™ technology, the spam filter is kept constantly updated without you having to lift a finger. SpamDrain uses artificial intelligence to continually refine the filtering process. This means that the filter can 'learn' what is spam and what is valid e-mail. The filter can therefore keep itself updated and quickly learn new tricks used by spammers to get their e-mails through spam filters.

As a SpamDrain customer, you gain access to the customer pages with your personal archive, a comprehensive filter, effective virus protection and a number of functions that all contribute to e-mail peace of mind. You collect your e-mails as normal, via your computer, mobile phone or handheld computer.

SpamDrain for your domain

When you have registered as a customer and made the necessary changes for your domain, SpamDrain will become your domain's new server for incoming e-mail. Before e-mails reach your domain SpamDrain will receive them and file spam and viruses in a secure archive. Only valid e-mails will be let through to your domain's original e-mail servers.

SpamDrain for POP3 and IMAP

When you have registered as a customer, SpamDrain will become your new server for incoming e-mail. SpamDrain collects the e-mail from your current server, files spam and viruses in a secure archive and only lets valid e-mails through to your computer.

All you need to do is change a couple of settings in your e-mail program, and you can then collect your e-mail as normal – with the simple difference that you no longer receive spam or viruses.

Clear archive presentation

The messages that SpamDrain has identified as spam or harmful viruses are saved in your personal archive. Using the search function, you can quickly pick out archived spam and redefine it as valid e-mail or vice versa.

Reports

As a customer, you receive regular reports via e-mail that notify you about the most recently archived spam. Go through the report and redefine the e-mail that you want SpamDrain to allow through or block in future. In this way you will help making the filter even more effective.

Statistics

On your subscription's statitics page you may retrieve statistics on how well SpamDrain performs for your subscription.
